Riffio Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Riffio, a mobile application operated by Storybutton Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using Riffio, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our app.
2. Use of the App
- Eligibility: By using Bttn+, you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian if you are under 13.
- Account Registration: To access certain features of Bttn+, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
- Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and to take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under your account.
3. User Conduct
You agree not to use Riffio to:
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Engage in any activity that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Interfere with or disrupt the app or servers or networks connected to the app.
4. Intellectual Property
All content available on Riffio, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of Storybutton Inc or its content suppliers and protected by intellectual property laws. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the app without the express written permission of Storybutton Inc.
5. Purchases and Payments
- In-App Purchases: Riffio may offer digital content, subscriptions, or other services for purchase within the app. All purchases are final and non-refundable unless otherwise determined by us.
- Payment Information: You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made via the app.
6. Privacy
Your use of Riffio is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be found [here](insert link to your Privacy Policy). By using Bttn+, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to Riffio at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Riffio is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Storybutton Inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use Riffio; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (c) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from Riffio; (d) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through Riffio by any third party; (e) any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of your use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through Riffio; and/or (f) the defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any third party.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Storybutton Inc is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Riffio Creators Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms")
carefully before using the Riffio platform ("Riffio" or the
"Platform") operated by Storybutton Media LLC ("Company",
"we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using
Riffio, including by registering an account, creating content, or publishing an
Interactive Show, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do
not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
Platform:
The Riffio platform and all associated digital properties operated by
Storybutton Media LLC.
User:
Any person or entity who accesses or uses the Platform.
Creator/IP
Owner: A User who publishes an Interactive Show using their
intellectual property ("IP").
Interactive
Show: A dedicated space where Creators host interactive, user-driven
content experiences.
World:
A user-generated story or interactive experience derived from an
Interactive Show.
Credits:
Virtual currency used within Riffio for transactions such as content
creation and feature unlocks.
Net
Proceeds: Credits spent in an Interactive Show, minus applicable
hosting and platform fees.
2. Account Registration & Eligibility
Eligibility:
You must be at least 13 years old or have parental consent to use the
Platform.
Registration:
To access certain features, you must register an account and provide
accurate, current, and complete information.
Security:
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
3. Intellectual Property
3.1 Creator IP and Licensing
Creators
retain full ownership of their IP.
By
publishing an Interactive Show, you grant Storybutton Media LLC a
non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and
distribute your content on Riffio solely for operating and promoting the
Interactive Show.
Users
may create derivative Worlds within your Interactive Show, which remain
tied to your IP and cannot be used commercially outside the Platform.
3.2 Termination of License
Licenses
remain valid as long as the Interactive Show is active.
If
the Interactive Show is marked "private," no new Worlds can be
created, though existing Worlds remain accessible to their original
creators.
Upon
account cancellation, Interactive Shows and related content will remain
active for 90 days before deactivation.
4. Monetization and Revenue Sharing
All
monetization is based on in-app spending using Credits.
Creators
receive 40% of Net Proceeds from Credits spent within their
Interactive Show.
Revenue
is paid on a periodic basis according to Storybutton Media LLC’s standard
payment cycle.
You
are responsible for your tax obligations, and accurate tax documentation
must be provided when required.
5. Content Guidelines & Moderation
5.1 Publishing and Privacy
Interactive
Shows remain publicly accessible unless changed to "private" by
the Creator.
Changing
an Interactive Show to private disables the creation of new Worlds but
allows existing ones to remain accessible.
5.2 Storybutton Media LLC Rights
We may
feature your Interactive Show in marketing, social media, or discovery
sections.
We
reserve the right to review, remove, or reject content that violates our
Community Guidelines or these Terms.
Violations
may result in account warnings, suspension, or termination.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
Violate
any laws or regulations.
Engage
in harmful, abusive, defamatory, or objectionable behavior.
Impersonate
others or misrepresent your affiliation.
Interfere
with or disrupt the Platform or its associated networks.
7. Purchases and Payments
All
purchases (e.g., Credits, subscriptions) within Riffio are final and
non-refundable unless otherwise determined by us.
You
agree to maintain accurate billing and payment information.
8. Termination
By
You: You may cancel your account at any time; Interactive Shows will
remain active for 90 days before deactivation.
By
Us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these
Terms, failure to provide IP ownership documentation, or repeated content
infractions.
Post-Termination:
Any accrued earnings will be paid out, but licenses and access will cease
upon deactivation.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Riffio
is provided "as is" and "as available."
We
disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
To
the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect,
incidental, or consequential damages related to your use of the Platform.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These
Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
Any
disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts
located in South Carolina.
We
encourage informal resolution through good-faith negotiation before legal
proceedings.
11. Modifications to Terms
We
reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.
Significant
changes will be communicated via email or notice on the Platform.
Continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance.
12. Miscellaneous
Entire
Agreement: These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and
Storybutton Media LLC.
Severability:
If any provision is invalid, the rest remain enforceable.
No
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms does not waive
our right to enforce them in the future.
