🔍 Sensitive Themes:

    • Bad Guys: Blain and Tiny are similar to the two bumbling foes in Home Alone. They are onto Oomi and are trying to capture him, but are always a few steps behind, both in skill and brain power.
    • Language: None
    • Bullying/Name Calling: Arya is friends and teammates with Viv, who is very competitive. Viv is jealous that Arya is the teams leading goal scorer and feels the need to act tough sometimes. She isn't a bully, but someone who is looking to feel like she is enough.
    • Magic: None
    • Oomi: This alien has a device that can change him into looking like a human so that he can become involved in the sport they are learning. His blue skin would not do a very good job at blending in.

👪 Parent-Approved Qualities:

  • How are parents viewed: Oomi first asks Arya to not tell her mom that he is an alien. Arya refuses to keep a secret from her mom and reassures him that her mom will be able to help him. Arya and her mom work together to accomplish the goals of protecting Oomi and helping him learn the sports he came for.
  • Appreciation: Nothing will stop Oomi's perseverance in trying new things. He's filled with joy and appreciation for all the fun games and sports that exist on Earth. Look for your child to be encouraged to try new things and find the joy that exists in so many different ways around us.
  • Sports: In each episode, we feature a different sport (yes hotdog eating qualifies) and explain how it is played. This instruction is meant for Oomi to hear, but will be fun for your child to learn the different nuances to sports like baseball, soccer, football, golf, volleyball and others.
